Are Uniforms mandatory?
While uniforms are no longer mandatory at Shuang Wen, many families like to have at least one set on hand for picture day and school field trips. The current school uniform is a burgundy polo and khaki trousers or skirt. On colder days, a burgundy fleece jacket or sweater may be worn. Gray sweatshirts, sweatpants and shorts are available for gym uniforms.
The PA organizes a uniform swap at the beginning of every school year. If you would like to donate an outgrown uniform for the next swap, just leave it in the bin outside the PA room (across from the school safety officer's desk). If you need a used uniform for your child, send us an email at contact@shuangwenpa.org.
Other than SWS uniforms, which are accepted all year round, please do not donate clothes outside of announced swap periods. You can bring clothing donations to the ReLoved Boutique at Manny Cantor Center, 197 East Broadway.
