- April 5: NYC School Survey 2024 Last Day
  - Click the link NYC School Survey and enter "f" followed by your child's nine-digit Student Identification (OSIS) Number to access the survey (e.g. f123456789).
    - Note that "f" must be lowercase.
    - A student's OSIS number can be found on their report card, or in the family's NYC Schools Account https://www.schoolsaccount.nyc/
    - Families are asked to complete one survey per student to ensure that we are collecting data that is representative of the diverse experiences of our students.
- April 6, 10a-12p: Seward Park Clean-up
  - Participation is limited. Please sign up if you are sure you can attend.

- We need new parents and guardians to keep the Parent Association Executive Board and School Leadership Team going!
- There are lots of ways to help whether you are creative, like to plan, are organized, or want to support Shuang Wen’s academic or dual language mission:
  - The Parent Association supports our kids by fundraising & distributing funds, planning events, and building a stronger school and family community.
  - The School Leadership Team provides parent input on the academic direction of Shuang Wen.

Library Initiative: Volunteers are needed to help envision re-activating our school library, which is an incredible, untapped resource for all. We especially need a graphic designer and parents from both lower (pre-K to 5) and upper grades (6 to 8). If you are available for any amount of time to help (even one hour), email Jenn at library@shuangwenpa.org.

School Fun

CONGRATULATIONS to 8th grader Zhuozhan Chen and the entire Math Team for their incredible wins at the 2024 MATHCOUNTS Manhattan competition. Zhuozhan came in first place in the individual competition and the team won the award for Best New School. Zhuozhan went on to place 15th out of 179 top competitors from across New York state. We are so proud of our math-letes!

CONGRATULATIONS to the Parliamentary Debate Team which has qualified for the national tournament on April 13. Good luck and go get ‘em Dragons!

Plus: During the Half Day Bake Sale we raised money and chowed down on delicious muffins, cookies and cupcakes from our school community. We also want to send a big thank you to local donors Kossar’s Bagels & Bialys, Doughnut Plant, Roasting Plant, Gather, and Sahadi’s.

學校的樂趣

恭喜八年級學生陳卓展和整個數學團隊在 2024 年 MATHCOUNTS 曼哈頓競賽中取得令人難以置信的勝利。卓展獲得個人賽第一名，代表隊獲得最佳新校獎。卓展最終在紐約州 179 名頂尖參賽者中排名第 15。我們為我校的數學生感到自豪！

祝賀議會辯論隊。學生們獲得了4月13日全國錦標賽的參賽資格。祝我們龍隊好運！

另外：在半日烘焙義賣期間，我們籌集了資金並品嚐了學校社區提供的美味鬆餅、餅乾和紙杯蛋糕。同時也想向當地捐款者表達衷心的感謝 Kossar's Bagels & Bialys, Doughnut Plant, Roasting Plant, Gather, 和 Sahadi's.
